Matt Smith combines hands-on experience in construction and maintenance services with entrepreneurial vision to solve industry inefficiencies.
Starting his career as a mechanical site engineer on large construction projects, Matt progressed to General Manager at a major maintenance services company. There, he witnessed firsthand the significant waste created by spreadsheet-based management of safety-critical worker training, competencies, and onboarding processes.
This "on the ground" knowledge and deep understanding of operational challenges led him to found MyPass in 2013 - a digital platform designed to reduce the risk and cost of managing workforce competency, safety, and compliance in high-risk industries.
Matt holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Claire Virtue is the Chief Operating Officer at MyPass Global. Claire plays a crucial role in managing operational direction to ensure the business processes and platform effectively serve organisations in the highly-regulated industries that MyPass operates in.
Claire has extensive experience in strategic and operational leadership across multiple industries. Her background includes working at an executive level across multiple organisations overseeing operations in multiple countries including Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and India.
Nico Alexiev is the VP of Product at MyPass Global, where he is responsible for MyPass’ global product vision, roadmap and go to market strategy. With extensive experience in B2B software, financial services and data and analytics, Nico has built and launched many widely used and loved products that solve real problems for large and small businesses.
William Cowell is the VP of Engineering at MyPass Global. He is responsible for driving MyPass’ technology strategy, product innovation and platform development. William plays a crucial role in managing the technical strategy to ensure the platform provides organisations in highly-regulated industries with access to aggregated, real-time data for proactive workforce management, compliance and skills tracking.
William has over a decade of experience leading technology and engineering teams across Australia and the United Kingdom, spanning a diverse range of industries.
William holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics from the University of Leeds.
Tony Wang is the VP of Finance at MyPass Global, responsible for financial strategy, capital planning, governance, and commercial insights that guide the company’s growth. He leads the finance, FP&A, and data analytics functions, partnering closely with the CEO, board, and investors to strengthen financial discipline, scale global operations, and support MyPass’ long-term strategic roadmap.
Tony brings over 15 years of senior finance leadership experience across ASX-listed, PE-backed, and multinational organisations in technology, services, and consumer sectors. His background includes driving capital strategy, supporting major transactions, and building high-performing finance functions across international markets. He has led equity and debt initiatives, shaped M&A and integration programs, and contributed to successful exits.
Stuart O’Neill is the Vice President of Sales at MyPass. In this role, Stuart is charged with helping champion the success of the MyPass platform across the existing customer install base and drive the adoption of the platform to new business ensuring customer success and a strong engagement experience across both.
Stuart has spent the past twenty five years building successful ‘go to market’ and delivery teams in APAC, with six years of that time spent evangelising an industry-wide shift to ecommerce, procurement and the cloud in Europe, Asia and Australia. His expertise has been gained through working as a business and sales professional with leading players in the industry including SAP, Coupa, Nortel Networks, Cisco, Fujitsu, SAP Hybris and Digital River.
Stuart holds an MBA specialised in Marketing and International business and bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
